synopsis
Lisa is an intellectual. Her life consists of her work at an ethnographic museum, TV in the evenings, and sex with her ex-husband on weekends. Vika is a typical provincial woman. To her, a holiday in St. Petersburg means vodka, parties, and adventures. They have little in common, or so it seems. However, when they meet by chance, they become friends. Lisa the intellectual and Vika the provincial are two sides of the same coin called ‘Russia’. The story is reminiscent of Joseph Losey’s The Servant, albeit set in modern Russia.
